Hockey Skills Challenge
The Hockey Skills Challenge at the New England Hockey Festival is a chance for the future hockey stars of New England to represent their team and organization and showcase their skills against New England’s most talented youth players. Located at the Bank of America City Center in downtown Providence, players will have the unique opportunity to enjoy the experience of outdoor hockey.
The Hockey Skills Challenge will include the following competitions:
Skaters:
Fastest Skater
Accuracy Shooting
Puck Control
The Hockey Skills Challenge is open to both males and females in the following age categories.
Males: Mites, Squirts, Pee Wees, Bantams, High School
Females: U8, U10, U12, U14, High School
Entry into the Hockey Skills Challenge includes:
• Squad Locker hockey jersey
• USA Hockey pin
• Harrow Sports lanyard
• Reebok CCM hockey belt
• Many other vendor gifts

Hockey skills challenge Schedule
Bank of America City Center
Sunday, March 18: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.
At this point in time, the Hockey Skills Challenge will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on a first-come, first-serve basis. In order to accommodate the busy schedules of hockey players and their families, participants can report to the Bank of America City Center whenever their schedule allows.
Participants registered for the event shall report to the Registration Tent and receive their contestant number. Participants will then be put through all four skills competitions. Participants who are ready to enter all three skills competitions shall be admitted based on their contestant number, with the lowest contestant number taking priority.

Participants who meet the USA Hockey Age Classification for the 2011-2012 season for Mites, Squirts, Pee Wees, Bantams, High School and U8, U10 and U12, U14 and High School are eligible for the Hockey Skills Challenge. Participants need to be prepared to prove their date of birth.

Rhode Island Outdoor Hockey
Charity Classic
The Rhode Island Outdoor Hockey Charity Classic is a pond-hockey style tournament that will benefit charities with ties both to hockey and to Rhode Island. Held at the Bank of America City Center, this tournament will provide participants with a fun and competitive way to support some great causes.
